Kollywood stories pave way to kings and queens

Films like Pazhassi Raja and Imsai Arasan 23am pulakesi were made on the theme of kinds and queens, which was a part of Indian history. Both the films garnered success at the box office. Now, the storylines featuring kings and queens is said to be on hot demand.

Director Mani ratnam is coming up with his ‘Ponnar Shanker’ in Tamil and “ Veerdu” in telugu , which are of the same theme. Tamilnadu CM Karunanidhi has announced that his next film will also include the kings and queens drama in the film, which is basically based on freedom fighters Dheeran Chinnamalai.

The best fact in making these movies is that, one need to shoot the film in India and there is no need to go abroad or hire some abroad technicians. Al the films can be filmed in a studio and a good story can easily be carved. If the marketing and songs work in the film, then the movie will be a sure hit, with no big doubt in the way of collections.
